"Gentlemen, it appears we are out of time and money. Now we shall have to
think create".
Winston Churchill
A keynote speaker at a recent event in Melbourne was Brett Godfrey, CEO of Virgin Airlines. It was the first positive speech we had heard for ages. The airline industry is hardly immuned from the current GFC. He acknowledged the current challenges and reinforced the importance of thinking differently and having a Plan A, B and even C if need be.
His quote:
"Never let a good crisis go to waste".
In other words this just might be the time to propel ourselves and our businesses forward in a way that we may never have thought of till now. We could just come out of this current crisis in a far better position than we were before it started, depending how positively focused we stay and how creative we are.
Let's continue to mentally rehearse for the outcomes we want and resist being drawn into the quagmire of negativity and fear.
